what else is a newly engaged girl supposed to do on a gloomy Sunday other than search wedding blogs to follow?
More fun to come!!!
Well everybody, it is Friday…. and I think by now you all know what that means: I treat myself to a coffee :) today it was Scooters and as I received the cup, I was somewhat saddened by the fact that they no longer are serving their drinks in their delightful snowflake cups! Although, once I set out on my commute, I took a few moments to reflect on the fact that although I am sad my most favorite time of year has come to an end, I am anxious and excited for the years ahead and was able to reflect on the past year which has been my best yet in all of my 27 years of existence… Lets recap shall we?
2012
Well, I am going to begin with the most obvious, I got engaged!!!!
I just returned from the most wonderful holiday vacation in Colorado with family! It was the best time: relaxed, talked wedding musings, did (almost) 2 puzzles, saw the nieces, played games BUNCO! and had a blast in Denver for my brother’s 30th birthday (even though my significant other was quite the spectacle: I blame the Mucinex!)
This year, I have been able to focus on my future and really dive into work and where I see myself… I am excited for what the future holds!
I’ve been able to see friends from far and wide and rekindle old flames
And as with any year, I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, and have shared moments with many people, moments I will never forget
Now… Looking forward to 2013.. …
Many exciting things! I am excited to share many happy moments this year with joyful tears as I am excited for what is to come for those I love most… I am excited to indulge in wedding planning and gatherings that Mike and I are ready to take head on… The weddings are beginning to add up for this coming spring/summer/fall and if any of you know, Mike and I LOVE weddings! We’re professionals by now! I have a great feeling about my personal/professional life… and most of all, moving forward, and as mom showed us all at Christmas… This is a year to be hopeful for what is to come… Many great things…. Many, many great things!
2014…. Well…. We’re getting hitched!
To those closest to me and those I love…. Cheers to these years, cheers to the tears, and cheers to moving forward and embracing what is to come!

Perfect and beyond is the perfect phrase I can use to describe this Thanksgiving weekend…
Family and friends, getting engaged to the love of my life, and being in my favorite place makes for an unforgettable weekend!
So much love was shared and had this weekend, and as tears of joy begin to roll down my eyes as I type this, I am looking forward to not only what lies ahead, but how much more love and joy can come into my life. It is my favorite time of year, and with Scooter’s snowflake cup in hand, snow falling outside my office window and Christmas music playing as I work, makes for what I call a splendid Monday… not to mention the distraction I face as I look down at my ring finger ;)
I am thankful for so many things this holiday season and I cannot get enough of all the love that surrounds my family. I am one lucky lucky girl, and words cannot describe my emotions and feelings… I am so happy that Mike got down on one knee for everyone to witness, it was a beautiful thing, and I would not have wanted it any other way.
*someone please pinch me… and I dreaming? Life seems too perfect right now… and perfect it is :) Beyond Perfect.
Let the planning begin!
A run outside AND yoga all in a workday?! Awesome.
Move over Mr. Turkey, this girl is ready to take over your holiday!
THIS DAY ROCKS!
… and it’s a Monday! HOT DOG!

ahh… nothing like Saturday morning cleaning/decorating for fall when this song comes up on the good ‘ol pandora station. Now, off to the farmer’s market to fetch some apples :)
Peace. Love. Fall. #embrace.
be STRONG.
keep FAITH.
stay BEAUTIFUL.
continue to LAUGH.
keep MOVING.
count MOMENTS.
make MEMORIES.
love LOVE.
press FORWARD.
find LIGHT.
Pray.
Remember.
Feeling slightly sluggish after the vacation… and let’s be honest, I feel like I could be in Arizona another week!
Nothing better than spending quality time with friends, family, and making memories full of laughter and love! Lots and lots to be blesed and thankful for :)

It’s Friday people…. and what does that mean? Well a number of things, but it especially means that I get my “once a week coffee” that I pay for. It’s a little treat I give to myself each week. As I was standing in line, I couldn’t help but think how wonderful it would be to order a Pumpkin Spice Latte… and then I began to think about fall…
Now, this isn’t the first time all summer I have thought about fall, oh no. I have been thinking about it almost every day for the past month. Although I consider myself a Winter bug, I will not dismiss the fall. As this summer comes to a close, this grueling, hot summer we have had, I begin to think about all my favorite things of fall, and I know my SIL of http://essayohmyblog.tumblr.com/ will agree, fall is one of the best times.
For me, one of the best things is the comfort, maybe it’s because school has begun, maybe it’s the scents, for whatever reason fall is a comforting time of year for me, and although family is hours away, the mere thought of fall makes me all cozy inside. I am going to rely on my SIL to bake lots and lots for Mike and I to get that comfort of home at their house :) apple pies, here we come!
Fall. Here are a few of my favorite things:
*As mentioned earlier… pumpkin spice lattes, hazelnut, and carmel
*a long run in the fresh, crisp air
*scents of home: cinnamon, apples, pumpkin, (in all their forms.. food, candles, body sprays, anything!)
*College football…. for many reasons.
*A sweater and a pair of shorts
*Bountiful produce
*A trip to the pumpkin patch..to actually retrieve a pumpkin (Mike and I’s goal this year)
*Red wine and Wheat beer
*The colors
*Scarves
*School supplies
*Bike Rides
Maybe your reason is solely college football, maybe your reason is Halloween, whatever your reason, tis the season, enjoy. embrace. welcome fall!
